The Podiatry Association of South Africa (PASA) is the national representative body for Podiatrists in South Africa. It represents Podiatrists in both the private and public sectors and is dedicated to promoting awareness of foot health.

Megan Maddocks holds Level 3 Accreditation (2023) and currently serves on the Executive Committee as the Gauteng Branch Chair.

 

The International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) is a mix of dance medicine practitioners, dance educators, dance scientists, and dancers, which is drawn equally from the medical and dance professions. IADMS enhances health, well-being, training, and performance in dance by cultivating medical, scientific, and educational excellence

Megan Maddocks served 2 terms on the Promotions Committee.

 

The South African Sports Medicine Association (SASMA) is a multidisciplinary, national, scientific and professional society dedicated to the motivation, responses, adaption and health of people involved in sort and exercise. This is our local sports medicine network and the place we keep up to date with sports specific research.

Bartold Clinical is a network, resource and online learning portal for practitioners who are involved with the treatment of athletes. It is one of the places where we keep up to date with current research. 

The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) guides and regulates health professions in SA in aspects pertaining to registration, education and training, professional conduct and ethical behaviour, ensuring continuing professional development, and fostering compliance with healthcare standards. All health care practitioners have to maintain their registration to practice legally in SA.

The University of Johannesburg’s Department of Podiatry is the national training facility for Podiatrists. It is the only Podiatry school in Africa! It currently offers a 4 year Bachelors Degree, a Masters level degree, and a new PhD Program. If you are interested in a career in Podiatry, don’t hesitate to get it touch. Megan Maddocks completed her Masters Degree at the Universtiy of Witwatersrand (WITS) through the Centre of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine (CESSM). Megan studied pain and injuries in Ballroom and Latin American dancers.

Our flagship practice is house at UMED Santon Medical Suites. We have been here since March 2022.

After many years of Lamberti Physiotherpay hositing one of our practices, we now call them family as we share our beautiful space at UMED Sandton Medical Suits. We still work closely with all their physios and all their branches.
